A new feature for the 2009 Projecting Hope event will be live music from noon til 10 p.m. on Saturday the 24th on the new Arysley outdoor stage (across from Eat Here Now). A few quick notes about the bands involved: Taking the final slot in the day long music-fest is OTHERWOODS, winners of the 2009 106.5 Battle of the Bands featuring their instant classic, “Will You Be My Hero?” The band plays high energy, diverse, inspiring tunes and is comprised of lead vocalist Jeff Woods, guitarists John Laing, Jared Miller and Andrew Ketchum, Lyn Kost on bass, and Steve Niewulis on the drums. DESTINY is comprised of Briana Crowder, Jarina Kitchen, Kira Allison, Tameka Thomas. The ladies were raised together and their harmonies testify to the fact that they have been collaborating singing since grade school. They have shared the stage with many including Israel Houghton and New Breed, Martha Munizzi, Jesse Dixon, Michael McDonald and Jason Crabb. RIGHT HAND SEATED will mesmerize listeners with their soulish-funk and original sound. Lead vocalist Marcus Dilley brings a powerful, soulful feel to the front and is well supported by the Clarkson brothers, Phil on bass and Dave on drums, along with Daniel Renner and Dave Holman, who lend some serious rock/grunge-influenced guitar to the mix. Don't want to wait in line? Worried tickets may run out for the movie you really want to see? We now offer the option to reserve tickets in advance for the Projecting Hope Film Festival.
